RexBot started on our founder's own Twitch channel. Getting every feature he wanted across Twitch and Discord meant running three or four different bots, each with its own dashboard, its own settings and its own way of breaking. Small streamers deal with the same pile-up, usually without the time to manage it.
So we built one bot that does the lot, and gave it a personality. Rex was tested in friends' chats until he felt like a real character, and the streamers who use him now help decide what ships next.

Replace several bots without asking anyone to read a manual.
Streamers already have their commands set up somewhere else. Moving has to be painless, so RexBot imports commands from Streamlabs, Nightbot and StreamElements in one go.
The other half is reliability. A bot that misses a raid alert or drops a song request mid-stream is worse than no bot at all, and it fails in front of an audience. Everything had to keep working through restarts, deploys and busy chats.
One login instead of five bots.
- Chat that feels like you. Custom commands, timers, cooldowns, mod-only permissions, shoutouts and clips from chat.
- Chat picks the music. !sr sends songs straight to Spotify, with a live queue, vote-skip and mod controls.
- Alerts and goals. Follow, sub, raid and Bits alerts with custom images and sounds, plus follower, sub and Bits goals.
- Overlays for any streaming software. Alerts, chat, now playing, scoreboards and keyboard and mouse inputs, added as browser sources in OBS, Streamlabs or Lightstream.
- One editor for every overlay. Set a global theme once and every widget follows it, or give any overlay a custom look.
- Discord from the same dashboard. Music in voice channels, automatic go-live posts, welcome messages and a self-serve role picker.
- Games and community features. A prize wheel, check-ins and giveaways that keep chat busy between highlights.
Technical stack
The bot and dashboard run on Railway with a Postgres database. Twitch events arrive through EventSub webhooks, so a restart or deploy doesn't drop an alert. The public site is on Vercel, and every push to main deploys automatically.
